Women and mobile phone films

Filed under: Uncategorized — smooser @ 11:58 am

In a Reuter’s article entitled “Filmmakers call for hot submissions to chick flick” by Kate Kelland,  a very exciting mobile phone use is being offered.  It is part of an effort to collect 40 second films recorded on mobile phones with the intention of creating one long symphonic film of women’s perceptions on the theme of “Overheated”.

Sarah Turner, the British filmmaker who will edit the final film, said:

“Because they are films made by women, women’s themes and issues are bound to be an integral part of the finished piece,” she told Reuters.

“I expect some of them to be quite intense, because this is quite an intense thing to respond to. We all have overheated moments, when we are angry about something, or upset, or when we are sexually hot. We might even end up having some menopause films, you never know.”

If you decide to do it yourself, you can upload your film at http://www.birds-eye-view.co.uk/
